Gabriela de Carvalho

Gabriela de Carvalho was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1961. From 1968 to 1979, she was at Rudolf Steiner School São Paulo, where she taught art and practiced art therapy, especially with the children from the favalas, or shanty towns. She has also worked with physically and mentally handicapped children. Gabriela has trained as a physical and occupational therapist. In 1985, she attended the seminar for Christian Community priests in Stuttgart, followed by a stint at an art-therapy school in Wervel in Zeist, Holland. Since 1987, she has devoted herself to art, including Goetheanum stage scenery, alterpieces, and painting exhibitions in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Hannover, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Arlesheim, and Dornach.
