This beautiful book is a moving collection of ninety poems that explore themes of death, separation, and bereavement.
When a beloved partner dies, a long-lasting bond comes to an end. The one left behind enters silence, and the daily exchange of words is no longer there. Former Waldorf teacher Maarten Ploeger has written an inner dialogue with his wife following her death—an intimate conversation that offers invaluable rewards for the reader.
This is a special book that gives strength to those during the initial phase of loss, and a sense of wonder and appreciation to all readers.
HEYDAYHoneymoon of mourning
maelstrom of feelings
reigniting loveYou on your wings there
I here on mine
there and here
melting in crucible
of undivided
being together stillHeaven is no place
is consciousness
here as there
there as here
a dance moving usSoftly we touch
with feelings of before
again in love
sensing again the wings of the butterfly
the butterfly you have become
