Steffi Stern brings her inimitable energy and enthusiasm to her second book, intended as a back-to-basics guide to making needle-felted objects. Each project includes very clear steps and photos, and Steffi also instructs the reader on basic techniques that will help them to make many other projects as well.

The book contains chapters on techniques, materials, tools, and accessories. There is a chapter on fairies, angels, and people, and the rest of the book is organised by season; it brims with all kinds of treasures, such as pumpkins, gnomes, strawberries, baubles, birds, bees, snails, flowers, the Nativity, mice, and mermaids. All the projects in the book are doable for a beginner. Some aimed at little fingers (no needles involved) and beginners, and some are aimed at those with more experience. Steffi’s advice is to have a go!

Steffi Stern

Steffi Stern has been involved with handcrafting from an early age. After having a family, she opened a craft shop in Gloucestershire, UK, and became increasingly interested in needle felting, a means of sculpting with wool. She appears on Hochanda TV (UK) as their resident needle-felting expert and, with her business partner Sophie Buckley, operates The Makerss,an online needle-felting specialty shop.
