Titia Maria Thun was born in Marburg, in central Germany. She studied German literature and history of art at Jena University. She has been involved in calculating data and writing for the Maria Thun Biodynamic Calendar for a number of years. In 2020, she and her brother, Friedrich, took over the creation of the calendar and the management of the family farm from their late father, Matthias. Titia is the granddaughter of biodynamic pioneer Maria Thun. She lives in Dexbach, Germany.
Friedrich Thun
Friedrich Kaspar Walter Thun was born in Marburg, in central Germany. After attending the Waldorf School in Marburg, he began an agricultural apprenticeship and completed it at Arpshof biodynamic farm near Hamburg. He has been involved in calculating data and writing for the Maria Thun Biodynamic Calendar for a number of years. In 2020, he and his sister, Maria, took over the creation of the calendar and the management of the family farm from their late father, Matthias. Friedrich is the grandson of biodynamic pioneer Maria Thun. He lives in Dexbach, Germany.
